The Hunt for York’s Roman Amphitheatre – Sat 3 Jun 2017

Venue: King's Manor

Join Time Team’s Stewart Ainsworth, Tim Sutherland of the University of York, Mitch Pollington of Lanpro Archaeology + Heritage, and Jon Oxley, City of York Archaeologist, as they begin the search for York’s lost Roman amphitheatre in the grounds of the King’s Manor in the centre of York.

Meet the People – Sat 3 Jun 2017

Come and meet costumed characters from York’s sweet past on Kirkgate, our recreated Victorian street. Look out for Sir Joseph Terry, Joseph Rowntree and Mary Ann Craven who will tell you about their world famous chocolates and sweets.

Eboracum Roman Festival Archaeology Tent – Sat 3 Jun 2017

10.45am – Roll Call – Muster of the Legions

11.00am – Parade through York

11.05am– Birds of Prey Demonstrations with Owl Adventures

12pm – Return of the Romans

12.55pm – Military Display

1.30pm – Kids Army

2.15pm – Roll Call – Muster of the Legions

2.30pm – Parade through York

3.35pm – Return of the Romans

4.10pm – Birds of Prey Demonstrations with Owl Adventures

4.45pm – Kids Army

A Box of Hope – Sat 3 Jun 2017

Visit the Yorkshire Museum to be put through your paces as you take part in our recruitment process to see if you measure up to be enlisted into the Roman Army.
