Join one of our costumed guides on our famous Victorian street Kirkgate every day at 11.45am and 3.00pm for a free 15 minute informal talk.

Each talk is different but will provide an introduction to Kirkgate, the history of York Castle Museum, and the objects on display, as well as the people who lived and worked in York during the Victorian period of 1870-1901.

Please note that talks are subject to the availability of our guides.

The second talk in this series will explore the relationships, collaborations and teachings particular to our city, which gave rise to an industry that spread across England. There will be a demonstration of pastillage and model making techniques as part of the evening.
