Join our Suffragette character on the cobbles of our Victorian street, Kirkgate, to hear York’s own story of suffrage and local connections to life.

This activity is part of York’s International Women’s Week and takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6 to 22 March 2018, 11am – 1pm and 2pm – 4pm.

Early Years Explorers - Victorians

Early Years Explorers – Activities for children aged two to five years old which include songs, stories, games and craft activities. Sessions are based on familiar preschool play areas, which are enhanced to help children learn about the museum’s collections and exhibitions through play. Sessions are a mixture of free flow and adult led activities which all relate to the Early Years curriculum.

Victorians – Dress as a Victorian, listen to the Victorian wash day story and play with Victorian style toys.
