Early Years Explorers – Activities for children aged two to five years old which include songs, stories, games and craft activities. Sessions are based on familiar preschool play areas, which are enhanced to help children learn about the museum’s collections and exhibitions through play. Sessions are a mixture of free flow and adult led activities which all relate to the Early Years curriculum.

In the Kitchen – Decorate biscuits, have a tea party, and investigate the play food.

Join artist Chris Geeson in an illustration workshop taking inspiration from nature, cartoons, fantasy and surrealism to create weird and wonderful characters.

You’ll be shown how to get ideas for unusual characters and you’ll spend time creating your own illustrations, whether they be fantastic, grotesque, or comical!

This event is suitable for people aged 16 and above.
