Exhibition Practices: Sculpture & the Site-Specific – Thu 19 May 2016
Running alongside the Aesthetica Art Prize Exhibition is a dynamic series of lunchtime talks, which are open to the public and free to attend. Taking place in the gallery at York St Mary’s, the talks are led by industry experts, including curators and artists.
In this talk, Sophie Raikes (Assistant Curator at Henry Moore Institute) discusses ways of exhibiting temporary and site-specific sculpture and installation, identifying how three-dimensional works within the Art Prize Exhibition interact with each other as well as the unique architecture of York St Mary’s.
The Aesthetica Art Prize Exhibition 2016 at York St Mary’s is open to 29 May 2016, Wednesdays to Sundays, 12-4pm.
The talk and admission to the exhibition are both free. No need to book.
