Adult Learning
York Museums Trust has an exciting and varied programme of workshops and events for adults, themed around the exhibitions and collections of the museums and gallery.
Sessions include object handling, curator’s talks, expert lectures and craft- and art-based workshops. All adult learning sessions are delivered by museum/gallery staff or specialists tutors and require no previous knowledge or experience.

Booking Information
Booking is required for most events, courses and activities through York Museums Trust unless otherwise stated – just click on the link provided in each event listing to book online. If you have booked using Eventbrite and can no longer attend the event, please re-visit your Eventbrite account to cancel your place.

York Museums Trust reserve the right to cancel any events if there are insufficient bookings.
Rates
The cost of each event is listed and each event will specify whether museum/gallery admission is included in the cost. Where applicable, please pay online via Eventbrite to secure your booking. We are unable to take payments at the admissions desks of our museums/gallery.
If you wish to visit the museum/gallery before or after the event then usual admission charges will apply.

Facilities
York Art Gallery, York Castle Museum and the Yorkshire Museum have baby changing facilities and disabled access toilets. There is a café at York Castle Museum and at York Art Gallery. Please click on the links below for more detailed information about visiting each site.
Access
Admission is free for wheelchair users and one accompanying carer.
Please note that the upper floors of York Castle Museum and some areas of the Yorkshire Museum are not currently accessible. Please click on the links below for more detailed information about access at each site.
