Mindfulness, Drawing and Writing Course

Mindfulness, Drawing and Writing is a 4-day course (two sessions per day) exploring the relationship between mindfulness and creativity, both of which operate from a basis of ‘more curiosity than fear’! (Elizabeth Gilbert)

Each session includes guided meditations, practical creative exercises and group discussions led by two experienced facilitators in a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Your tutors will be Dr Lauri Bower and professional artist Clare Belbin-Carlie of The Creative Space.

Enter the course with an open mind and find it opening in ways you never imagined. There’s something for everyone.

£215 for concessionary tickets or £236 for standard tickets for the 4 days per person. There’s a maximum of 12 participants per session.

YMT Membership is required for this course. (£22 max. concessions are available.) A YMT Card is required for the course.

York Museum Garden Tours

Venue: York Museum Gardens

Meet inside the Museum Street gates and gain an insight into one of the most popular gardens in York. The gardens contain a wealth of plant life, botanical specimens and wildlife, as well as the spectacular ruins of St Mary’s Abbey and the Roman Multangular Tower. Our knowledgeable guides will show you the highlights of this truly unique garden.

Tours start at 1pm every Sunday and last approximately one hour.

Join our Visitor Experience Team for talks based on York Art Gallery’s collections and exhibitions.

The talks take place between 2-3pm every day (expect Wednesdays and Saturdays) and are free with gallery admission. There’s no need to book.
