Join foley artist Sue Harding for an exciting exploration of the Gallery’s art collection through sound.

Learn how to ‘sculpt’ with sound and tell stories using foley recording techniques, taking When All is Quiet as inspiration.

This workshop:

  • is suitable for young people aged 13-17
  • takes place 11am-4pm, including a lunch break

Join us for this talk on the Automaton Clock, an extravagant clock featuring moving figures and sound.

In this talk, we’ll discuss this fascinating clock and what we know about its history. Afterwards, we’ll activate the clock so you can see its many decorations brought to life.

The talk starts at 2pm, will last between 5-10 minutes and is included with your gallery admission. For our admission prices, please see our visitor information page.
