Join us this International Women’s Day as we celebrate the extraordinary achievements of extraordinary artists.

Our Visitor Experience Team and Curators will run a series of 10-15 minute talks based on York Art Gallery’s collections and exhibitions.

The following talks are free with gallery admission. There’s no need to book.

Lunchtime Talk: Meet the Artists – Fri 8 Mar 2019

The Aesthetica Art Prize 2019 shortlist will be present to discuss their works.

The artists will speak in detail about the concepts behind the shortlisted pieces across a range of media including photography, installation, video, sculpture and painting.

Hear directly from the artists that are helping to shape the Prize and how they are navigating today’s current artistic landscape.
