Explore what life was like during World War One through self-guided activities.
Activities include:
– sending information using flags (an activity called ‘Semaphore’)
– testing First Aid skills using teddy bears
– designing a campaign poster
Daily 10am-1pm and 2pm-4pm, apart from Monday 6th and Friday 17th of August.

Discover pollinators on a family-friendly walk through the surrounding gardens.
Thanks to the hard work of pollinating insects such as bees, hoverflies and many others, we get to eat fruit and veg such as strawberries or pumpkins, and have beautiful gardens to enjoy.
Come and learn more about these busy creatures as we explore the surrounding gardens which are buzzing with life. No previous knowledge required.
This activity is free and open to all ages. However, all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Meet at The Plant Pavillion on the Artists Garden.
