Top female scientists will be hosting a day of hands on demonstrations and amazing gadgets at the Yorkshire Museum to celebrate International Women’s Day.

The York branch of ScienceGrrl are hoping to share their passion for all things scientific, including talking about their research (such as biology, nuclear physics, particle detection development and astronomy) and showcasing demonstrations using diamonds, radioactive rocks and microscopes.

The Cosmodome, a mobile planetarium, will also be running, with sessions available for sign-up on the day.

The event is included in the admission price to the Yorkshire Museum, which is FREE to York Card Holders and is suitable for all ages.
