Adults are invited to our children’s book illustration workshops. Taking inspiration from the exhibition, you will work with our talented illustrator Lucy Monkman to explore a range of illustrative styles, before trying your hand at creating your own illustration for a children’s book. The workshops are open to those with illustration experience and to those without.

As a freelance illustrator Lucy Monkman has worked in design, in editorial and in publishing working for a wide range of clients both locally and nationally. Lucy has illustrated a number of books and she is also the author of Made By Hand At Home. The book draws on her experience as an illustrator and as art tutor and it celebrates the creative potential of everyday life. It contains almost two hundred ideas for creative projects.
