Bloom Creative Writing Workshop

Inspired by the exhibition Bloom we will be working together to produce some creative writing. We will take inspiration from artefacts in the exhibition and related writings in order to support us develop our own prose or poetry piece. The workshop will provide time for everyone to draft some work of their own while Amanda is on hand to support and develop any ideas that you have. All you need is your pen or laptop– no previous experience of writing required! The workshop is designed for adults or anyone interested in writing over the age of 16. 

 

Pens and paper will be provided  

 

This event is run by Dr Amanda Naylor 

 

Dr Amanda Naylor is a Senior Lecturer in English and Education at the University of York. Her speciality is teaching writing, reading and texts in all sorts of contexts. She has been a teacher and teacher trainer of English in schools and colleges and she is passionate about sharing her interests in reading and writing with all sorts of people. 

 

This workshop is part of our ‘Bloom’ exhibition events programme. 

 

Suitable for those aged 16+ (under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult)
