Be amazed as Kirkgate comes alive, sending visitors to a forgotten age. Who will you meet ‘Up Our Street?’

Songbox

Date: Wednesday 22 August 2018, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Venue: York Art Gallery

Songbox – plants on the move, in time and space.

This is a lively, interactive guided tour of York’s Museum Gardens, Edible Wood and The Plant Pavillion investigating plant evolution.

This event is free and open to all ages, including children with their parent or carer. Meet at The Plant Pavillion on the Artists Garden.

Pollinarium Activities

Prior to the arrival of The Pollinarium (a family friendly, audio-visual installation commissioned by York Mediale, York Museums Trust and Invisible Dust) there will be a variety of family friendly events, workshops and activities held in the Artists Garden.

As part of these events, structures will be built containing a variety of plants, to be looked after by members of the local community during August. These structures will form the entrance and walkway of The Pollinarium when it arrives in late September.

Events are free to attend. For all Pollinarium Activities, please visit our events calendar.
