To celebrate York Castle Museum’s exciting new chocolate experience, join a member of our History Team to discover more about the ‘chocolate city’ and the family favourites that were first created here in York. There will be the opportunity to handle some fascinating objects from the collection which are not usually on view.

Join one of our costumed guides on our famous Victorian street Kirkgate every day at 11.45am and 3.00pm for a free 15 minute informal talk.

Each talk is different but will provide an introduction to Kirkgate, the history of York Castle Museum, and the objects on display, as well as the people who lived and worked in York during the Victorian period of 1870-1901.

Please note that talks are subject to the availability of our guides.
