‘When the Somme Ran Red’ – Live Performance – Fri 19 Aug 2016

Meet actor Chris Cade who tells the story of WW1 soldier Arthur Radclyffe Dugmore. Join the veteran soldier as he looks back on his life, including his time in the
battlefields of the Somme.

Multiple performances from 11am to 4pm – please ask at Admission for confirmed times and location.

The last date for performances is 26 August 2016.

Studio Drop-in: Fancy Dress Summer – Fri 19 Aug 2016

Be inspired by William Etty’s painting Preparing for a Fancy Dress Ball and dress up, draw your own portrait, design a paper costume and add your work to our collage (materials provided, suitable for all ages).

Sessions take place every day from 1 August to 31 August 2016, 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm.

Meet our First World War soldier and help him build a section of trench wall. Find out about the daily life of a soldier on the front and be put through your paces in a drill session. This activity takes place in our outside Mill Area.
