The Wold Newton Hoard

Dates: Wednesday 31 August 2016–Friday 7 October 2016, 12:00 pm - 12:15 pm

The Wold Newton Hoard contains over 1,800 Roman coins and was discovered by a metal detectorist near the village of Wold Newton, East Yorkshire, in 2014. It features coins depicting Constantius and also the first coins to proclaim his son, Constantine, Augustus after he was made emperor in York.
