Early Years Explorers: Garden Animals – Thu 18 Jun 2015

Animal role play, guess what the rat has been eating, and look at taxidermy animals in the museum.

Activities for children aged two to five years old which include songs, stories, games, and craft activities. Sessions are based on familiar preschool play areas, which are enhanced to help children learn about the museums’ collections and exhibitions through play. Sessions are a mixture of free flow and adult led activities which all relate to the Early Years Curriculum.

Finds From Fishergate: Discovering Anglian York – Thu 18 Jun 2015

Date: Thursday 18 June 2015, 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Venue: Yorkshire Museum

Excavated in Fishergate and stored for many years in the basement of Mecca Bingo, the Fishergate Archive sheds new light on Anglian York. This exciting archive is available for the very first time for the public to see and handle.
