Fragments of textile found with Edward I and Edward II coin hoard.
Report written by P.Walton 1986: Tabby weave linen fragment of off-white base with blue and green spots. Tabby weaves of this type were used throughout the medieval period, for shrouds, linings, undergarments, table linene etc. Wilton and Alysham were early centres for linen-weaving, but it is probable that similar products were being made throughout the coutnryside.
