Sampler, unframed. Worked on canvas in silk thread cross stitch. Geometric floral border. Two rows of alphabet and numerals, and three rows of motifs including ships, a parrot, animals, birds and trees. In the centre is a religious verse, each line worked in a different colour. Along the bottom are the worker's name, age, date and place.
