York Castle Museum has been announced as the winner of two awards at this year’s Little Viking Awards.

The museum won the Best Attraction for the second year in a row and also won in the Best Christmas Experience category for its Victorian Christmas at the Castle event.

The Little Viking Awards recognise the best York has to offer for kids, with families in the city voting for who should win.

Charlotte Kindesjo, head of communications for York Museums Trust, said:

“We are delighted to have won Best Attraction again and to have also been recognised for our Victorian Christmas experience. The fact that it is voted for by York families makes it a really special achievement and we are grateful to all the people who voted.”
