Description
Costrel; squat, earthenware vessel. Bulbous body with a narrow neck and an everted rim. Two hand-mouled and knife-trimmed shoulder blocks are punched through with a single perforation each to create two handles. The foot is irregular. The body has been squared on on the front and rear faces. Fabric is orange with dark red surfaces. Thick brown-black glaze covering the interior and exterior, patchy at the foot. Damaged at the rim.
