Description
Costrel; squat, earthenware vessel. Bulbous body with a narrow neck. Rim missing. Two lugs project from the shoulders, aligned off-centre and facing eaching through which a rough perforation has been made prior to firing. Fabric is an orange-red. A thick, glossy brown glaze mottled with black and cream flecks covers interior and exterior, stopping above the foot. Cistercian Ware.
