Collect a trail sheet from the Yorkshire Museum admissions desk | £1 per sheet
Enjoy the outdoors with our new self-led Nature Trail, taking you on a journey through the Museum Gardens to explore nature and wildlife.
Pick up your trail sheet from the Yorkshire Museum admissions desk and don’t forgot to collect a small chocolate treat once complete!
Museum admission is not required to take part in the outdoor trail. Please note, the Yorkshire Museum is open Tuesday – Sunday, so the Nature Trail is not available on Mondays.

Join the award-winning Story Craft Theatre and step into a world of imagination where art comes alive and stories leap off the walls! This interactive storytelling adventure, inspired by the artwork at York Art Gallery, is designed to spark curiosity, creativity and joy.
This Easter Holiday, there’ll be a different tale each week inspired by our Making Waves exhibition.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Due to space restrictions, a max of 1 adult per booking. 
We are also offering a special offer in Sketch café for anyone attending; hot drink and cake £6.00, lunch and a drink £12.00.
*General admission to York Art Gallery is included.

Join Eleanor Jackson, curator of the Making Waves exhibition, to learn about the history behind York Art Gallery’s newly acquired print, Hashimoto Chikanobu’s Evacuation of Chiyoda Palace, from the series ‘The Inner Palace of Chiyoda’, 1896,  taking you to the heart of the major changes in Japanese society during the 19th century.
