York Museum Gardens Forest School

The outdoors can be a magical adventure for our little explorers and here at York Museums Trust we are excited to launch our York Museum Gardens Forest School. Children will be led through stories and adventures by our experienced Forest School qualified leader. Come along and join in our foraging, building, exploring and nature tracking activities that are designed to develop your little ones skills through fun and adventure. Find out more here.

Six weekly sessions lasting two hours, aimed towards children aged 2 – 5 years old.

Join us for this talk on the Automaton Clock, an extravagant clock featuring moving figures and sound.

In this talk, we’ll discuss this fascinating clock and what we know about its history. Afterwards, we’ll activate the clock so you can see its many decorations brought to life.
