Textiles – Embroidered Woodland Creatures – Sat 18 May 2019

Venue: York Castle Museum

This session is an opportunity experiment with design and embroidery to create a lovely woodland animal decoration.

Patterns and all instructions will be provided.

We will be working with felt, fabrics and colourful threads to make a forest full of creatures, including foxes, bears, squirrels, little trees and mushrooms along with anything else you can think of!

There will be time to experiment with embroidery and construction techniques.

This event costs £36 per person plus £5 for all materials, and includes Castle Museum admission.

Join us for this talk on the Automaton Clock, an extravagant clock featuring moving figures and sound.

In this talk, we’ll discuss this fascinating clock and what we know about its history. Afterwards, we’ll activate the clock so you can see its many decorations brought to life.
