Easter Holidays 2019 – Thu 25 Apr 2019

Be part of the People’s Exhibition.

Model your own Jurassic fossil out of clay, create a label for it and display it in our temporary gallery, which will grow ever larger over the Easter Holidays.

This event takes place 13 – 28 April, 11am – 1pm and 2-4pm and is included with your museum admission. There’s no need to book.

Volunteer’s Gallery Talk – Thu 25 Apr 2019

Join one of our knowledgeable volunteers every Tuesday and Thursday for a free talk from 12pm. The subject will vary but will relate to one of the displays in the museum.

Included in admission, no need to book.

Please note that as these talks are volunteer-led, we cannot guarantee that they will always take place. Please ring ahead on 01904 687687 or check with our Welcome Team on arrival in case of cancellation.

Cherie Federico, Director of the Aesthetica Art Prize, discusses the role that art prizes play in talent development, expanding on the selection process and how works are introduced into the prize as a testbed for new ideas.

This revealing talk will look at ways to break into the creative industries, and offer insight into how awards can lead to further opportunities within the sector.
