Early Years Explorers: Taste – Thu 11 Feb 2016

Venue: York Art Gallery

Early Years Explorers are activities for children aged two to to five years old which include songs, stories, games and craft activities. Sessions are based on familiar preschool play areas, which are enhanced to help children learn about the museums’ collections and exhibitions through play. Sessions are a mixture of free-flow and adult-led activities which all relate to the Early Years curriculum.

York Art Gallery: Taste

Explore the food sensory play area and investigate the taste of the food colour groups.

Volunteer's Gallery Talk

Venue: York Castle Museum

Join one of our knowledgeable volunteers every Tuesday and Thursday for a free talk from 12pm. The subject will vary but will relate to one of the displays in the museum.

Please note that as these talks are volunteer-led, we cannot guarantee that they will always take place. Please ring ahead on 01904 687687 or check with our Welcome Team on arrival in case of cancellation.

Free with admission, no need to book.

LGBTQ History Guided Tour of York Castle Museum – Thu 11 Feb 2016

Be guided through the stories, struggles and freedoms of the LGBTQ communities, using the museum displays to see what they experienced.
