York Picturehouse Outdoor Cinema-Stop Making Sense

6 September 2025 Stop Making Sense PG

Picturehouse Cinemas are bringing their ever-popular Outdoor Cinema back to York this September for a weekend of fantastic movies at York Museum Gardens.

An atmospheric social experience for the cinema fan who wants to experience something a little different; Outdoor Cinema has been a highlight of the Picturehouse summer schedule for over a decade.

As ever, Outdoor Cinema promises carefully curated cult classics, guilty pleasures, and new favourites – and this year is no different with three bona fide gems.
To sweeten the deal even more – every ticket includes £6 to spend on an array of refreshments from the well-stocked pop-up bar to enjoy under the moonlight.
