Teenage Art School – Sold Out – Mon 17 Feb 2020
Inspired by the exhibition, Harland Miller: York, So Good They Named It Once, this year’s Teenage Art School explores how artists respond to a place, combining text and image to produce statements about life. Tom Smith uses augmented reality technology in his work, so that when a mobile phone is pointed at paintings, they reveal a further layer of audio/visual content. Tom and artist-producer Sarah Yates will guide your exploration of working with both paint and pixels, developing work for an exhibition in the Project Gallery at York Art Gallery (exhibition to open Saturday 22 February).
This is a five day course for 14 to 17 year olds. Whether art is just a hobby or something you are studying (or planning to study) at GCSE or A level, Teenage Art School will help you develop your skills as an artist. There is also the potential to gain Bronze Arts Award.
Book your FREE place here. Places must be booked in advance.
