Aimed at 13 – 16 year olds, this year’s Teenage Art School at York Art Gallery, is inspired by the forthcoming exhibition Sin and some of its themes and artworks (Tracey Emin, Rembrandt, Ron Mueck). This free course, which runs from Monday 8 to Friday 12 August, will be developed by Fast Familiar and produced in partnership with Mediale.

Fast Familiar are a group of artists and theatre makers from different creative and academic backgrounds. They invite and promote an approach of curiosity in all of their work.

The activity will be led by Rachel Briscoe, who will explore a plethora of ideas and techniques with the teenagers across the week. With creative support and the magic of technology, the students will work towards a project that will be presented within the Sin exhibition at York Art Gallery from 7 October 2022 – 22 January 2023.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided. While this course is free, places are limited and booking is therefore essential.
