Let’s Celebrate (Cele-plate!) International Youth Day! – Thu 12 Aug 2021

Let's Celebrate (Cele-plate!) International Youth Day!

10:30am – 4pm, £2
Book tickets here.

After months of turbulence our brains are overflowing. Worry, grief, anger, hopes, dreams – let’s get it all out and plate it up in this creative day course!

Join North Yorkshire artist Anna Whitehouse to create your own personal ceramic plate where you can vent your frustrations and ‘serve up’ your dreams on a plate in ‘cele-plation’ of International Youth Day!

There will be the opportunity to be inspired by Grayson Perry and enjoy a day of making with Anna’s expert guidance. You can take your work home, or opt to leave it to be displayed in our CoCA Gallery.

All materials are included, although do bring a container with you if you wish to take your work home!

This is a day course for 11-17 year olds. There will be a lunch break from 1 – 2pm – please note that lunch is not provided. Under 16s will need written permission from their parent/carer to attend. A permission form will be sent after booking.

Please note

To avoid disruptions and ensure that workshop participants have the best experience, please note that if you are more than 20 mins late for your workshop and haven’t let us know, unfortunately we may not be able to guarantee entry.

To open York Art Gallery safely we’re limiting visitor numbers and encouraging everyone to book in advance. If you would like to visit the galleries before or after you attend this event, you should book a timed ticket for general admission to the gallery here.

If you are unable to come for any reason, please do cancel your booking on Eventbrite to make the tickets available to other people. Please note Eventbrite’s fee is nonrefundable.
