Trip Trap Troll! Visit the Yorkshire Museum this October half term to make and play this traditional Viking game

30 October 2017

Help your Vikings escape from the evil trolls this October half term as you make and play the traditional Viking game, Trip Trap Troll.

During the final week of the exhibition, Viking: Rediscover the Legend, at the Yorkshire Museum, use clay to mould your own miniature Viking warriors and terrifying Trolls along with your own game board to play this traditional game from the time of the Vikings.

Emma Williams, Assistant Curator of Science and Archaeology Learning, said,

“This October half term, have a go at making your very own version of the traditional Viking game Trip Trap Troll to take home and play with family and friends.

“This is the perfect opportunity to join in with our special activities and to see some of your favourite artefacts from Viking: Rediscover the Legend before they go on tour across the UK, including the York Helmet and the Vale of York Viking Hoard.”

The activity takes place daily 28 October to 5 November 2017 and is included in admission (under 17s go free). There’s no need to book and materials will be provided. Find out more on the Yorkshire Museum website here.
