Celebrating the City! Create artwork inspired by the York this October half term at York Art Gallery

30 October 2017

This October Half term, take inspiration from the City of York to create your own artwork, just like the latest exhibition from Marinella Senatore at York Art Gallery.

From Ballerinas, to folk singers and artists; come along to the exhibition, A York Symphony, where Marinella Senatore has created artwork and a new video to show what York and its people mean to her. Find your own inspiration to tell us what it means to you in our Studio; will the people inspire a painting, the architecture inspire a collage or could the history inspire a poem?

Gaby Lees, Learning Manager at York Museums Trust said,

“The newly commissioned video from International artist Marinella Senatore is her interpretation of York and its people.

“We want you to come along and create artwork based on your interpretation of this fantastic city full of history, culture and characters.

“Whether it’s painting, drawing, poetry; come along and get creative to help us celebrate the city of York.”

The activity takes place daily 28 October to 5 November 2017 and is included in admission (under 17s go free). There’s no need to book and materials will be provided. Find out more on the York Art Gallery website here.
