Description

Postcard series published in book form, each card has a perforated line to allow it to be removed from the book. With reproductions of photographs of war memorials and topographical features related to World War One. Reverse of each card is printed with general postcard layout but no text. Cover of card simply printed with 'MONUMENTS AND VESTIGES DE GUERRE DE LA REGION ALBERT / BRITISH WAR MEMORIALS 24 CARTES DETACHABLES' with publishers details. Also written on cover in ink 'Mabel Walton. 'St Quentin' 4 Hawkhill Drive, Cross Gates'. Captions to the postcards are individual and in English. Four have handwritten ink notes on the reverse one dated 1938, relate to the war service of Private Herbert Walton 34223, West Yorkshire.
