- Description
- Jacket of scarlet wool with buff wool facings on the collar and sleeves. The small, stand-up collar and the sleeves are also decorated with silver braid and lace. White piping down the front opening and at the back. Silver braid shoulder lapels, each with a crown and a star (rank of Lieutenant-Colonel). Fastens down the front with eight large white metal buttons. Lined with wool and silk. Most of the buttons are West Yorkshire Regiment; one, on right shoulder, is of a crowned rose in a circle with "1st West York Rifle volunteers" in a wreath.
