- Description
- Cockade fan with a pink, shovel-shaped silk leaf painted with gold flowers and edged with white feathers. The ivory guards, which also form the handles when open, are inlaid with gold leaf. The handles are held closed by a gold ring. The top of the fan, which is the centre when open, is protected by a decorative pinchbeck cap. The box is cardboard, the outside decorated with Chinoiserie and held closed by two pieces of ivory.
