Have a go at our Egg and Spoon obstacle course in the exercise yard!
Easter Trail

Easter trail around the museum with a prize draw competition – a special chocolate egg for the winner! 50p per trail with reward.
Easter Hunt

Explore the Raindale Mill area at York Castle Museum and find all the Easter clues to lead you a little Easter treat.
No need to book. Activities included in museum admission unless stated otherwise.
Yorkshire Museum – Spring Mosaics
Spring into Mosaics
Friday 25 March – Sunday 10 April, 11am – 1pm and 2pm – 4pm
Explore the new season and create a paper mosaic tile inspired by spring and the museum’s Roman Four Seasons mosaic.
Mosaic Madness
Friday 25 March – Monday 28 March, 11am – 1pm and 2pm – 4pm
Join artist Kirstie Briggs Bateman to help create a modern version of the Four Seasons mosaic! This is a drop-in activity to contribute to a community artwork which will go on display in the museum.
Kids Curator’s Talk: Animals in Prehistoric Yorkshire
Tuesday 29 March, 12.30pm – 1pm
Join us for a family-friendly talk to learn about some surprising animals that used to roam the Yorkshire Landscape.
Animal Trail

Take part in our animal-themed trail around the museum and gardens then claim a small prize. 50 per trail with reward.

York Art Gallery – Spring Time
Easter Holidays Studio Drop-in: Flowers and Birds
Friday 25 March – Sunday 10 April, 11am – 1pm and 2pm – 4pm
Drop in to the Studio to celebrate the coming of spring with paper and string. Make birds inspired by Mark Hearld and flowers to add to our giant herbaceous border. No need to book. This activity is included in gallery admission but for £5 your child can gain a nationally recognised qualification – please see below for more information.
Discover Arts Award
25 March – 10 April 2016
Complete your Discover Arts Award with us this Easter! For 5-9 year olds (although any child can take part in our activities). Take part in the art and craft activities being held at the Yorkshire Museum, York Castle Museum and York Art Gallery this Easter, complete your Discover record sheet and earn a Discover Arts Award certificate from Trinity College London.
