Description
Motto beaker; Form KE (globular pedestal beaker with elongated neck). Decorated with rouletting below the neck and the letters VIVATIS (meaning "Long life to you!") in white slip. Trier Black-Slipped Ware. Described in Eboracum as a motto beaker "of dark red fabric with shiny black or metallic colour-coating, inscribed and decorated with white slip". Probably from a grave.
