- Stamped white metal badge held by three copper ring lugs. Eight pointed star with radiants, on which are crossed laurel branches. At the centre is a detachable badge in the form of a disc withthe words 'WEST RIDING' around the top. At the centre is the badge of the duke of Wellington of a lion with a pennant emerging from a ducal crown. The whole badge is surmounted by a Queen's crown.
