- Description
- Triangular steel bayonet for a smooth bore musket. The piece has a tubular socket with an "S" shaped groove for the bayonet lug and a lip at the base. The blade is triangular and fluted along two sides with the third being flat. The blade angles away from the socket. The last 13cm has been crudely ground, possibly to sharpen. Stamped with crown over "24", "HADLEY" , "I. SALTER".
