Exploring Mesolithic lives using archaeological science – Wed 4 Dec 2024

Exploring Mesolithic lives using archaeological science

Date: Wednesday 4 December 2024, 6:00 pm-7:00 pm
Venue: Tempest Anderson Hall, Yorkshire Museum

Join Dr Sophy Charlton, University of York, for this free talk in association with our current exhibition ‘Star Carr: Life after the ice’.

About the talk

Advances in archaeological science techniques now mean we are able to gain additional information about early prehistoric populations, and gain deeper insights into topics such as diet and ancestry. This talk will focus on how we can apply scientific methodologies to British Mesolithic material, and the kinds of information that this kind of research has provided us with on Mesolithic populations.

Booking is not required for the talk.
