Description
Decorated, glazed. Described in Harvey Brook's unpublished catalogue as "A nearly perfect floor tile. Yellow decoration on a black ground. A King's head crowned and vested, long flowing curling wavy hair on either side of the head. A three leafed flower fills the space occupied by the diagonal setting out on the square of the tile. The face is that of one of the Plantagenet kings." The tile is much worn and the design is very faint now.
