Flat-backed, ovular harness pendant with fist-and-phallus decoration on base. Phallus is upturned and a raised band depicts the glans. Fist is stylised, depicting partly extended fingers and with a raised band around the wrist. The middle point between the two is highlighted by a groove and two raised strips - possible vulvate decoration.
Fist-and-phallus amulets are variable in form. Usually, they are perforation through the body proper. This example, suspended by a squat collar from a peltate frame is an unusual type. They are frequently associated with Roman military context, and particularly in the first and second centuries AD.
