- Description
- Tea bowl and saucer with moulded scrolled floral motif (three different flowers, leaves and buds) to outer surface and central one flower motif in underglaze blue. The underglaze blue decoratvie border combines Chinoiserie motifs and western ones. The raised moulded decoration echoes the Chinese (and oriental) taste of complement white or monochrome wares with raised designs (e.g. sprigging). This fashion was often also used in blue and white wares.
