Description
A large Bellarmine salt glazed jar. It has a bulbous body and narrow neck decorated with a relief moulded applied face with a beard. Below this on the body is a cartouche with an applied moulded heraldic design. Two small circular cartouches are applied to the upper body left and right of the main design. The grey stoneware body has a mottled brown glaze.
