- Description
- Decade ring with ten lobes around the ring, and and oval bezel inscribed 'IHC' . This stands for 'Iesus Hominum Salvator', or 'Jesus the Saviour of Man' in Latin. Decade rings were used in the same way as a rosary, with a 'Hail Mary' (Ave Maria) prayer said for each of the lobes, and an 'Our Father' (Paternoster) for the bezel. Small find.
