Description
Short sword with curved single edged blade, leather bound grip and steel hilt. Hilt has a pommel cast in the form of a dog's head, the single knucklebow is fixed under its jaw and has another dog's head decoration as the central knop. Pierced circular recurved guards and downturned quillon. Curved edged blade with false edge at the point. Blade stamped with "+ ANNO+" over "+1414+" with maker's mark of two stylised birds perched one over the other on a floral branch.
