Suffragettes Volunteers Talk – Wed 14 Mar 2018

Suffragettes Volunteers Talk

This year marks the centenary of the 1918 Representation of the People Act, which gave the vote to some women in Britain. York Castle Museum volunteers Emma Flint and Elizabeth Shaw have been helping to research the history of women’s suffrage. Emma and Elizabeth will be presenting their findings in a series of free talks throughout the year titled ‘Unstoppable Women: The Suffragettes in York’.

Talks take place in the Home Front section of our exhibition ‘1914: When the World Changed Forever’.

Free with admission, no need to book.
