Romans Lose Their Heads: An Unusual Cemetery in Roman York – Thu 2 Jun 2016

Excavations on the outskirts of York during 2004-5 revealed parts of a Roman cemetery different to anything found previously in Britain. The initial findings were remarkable, but subsequent research has produced some truly astounding results. Who was buried in this cemetery, how did they live and how did they die? With Kurt Hunter-Mann (Research Associate, York Archaeological Trust).

This event is part of the Eboracum Roman Festival.

The talk will take place at The Guildhall.

£6 / £5 concessions.
